अर्श से फर्श पर पहुंचे चापलूस अधिकारी
एक जगल में एक संत के आश्रम के समीप एक चूहा रहता था। वह संत से काफी घुल मिल गया था। उसे तमाम जंगली जीवों से खतरा रहता था। एक दिन उसने संत से अपनी व्यथा बयां की तो संत को उस पर तरस आ गया और उससे कहा कि जाओ, आज मैं तुम्हें सिंह बनाए देता हूं किन्तु शर्त यह है कि तुम अपने इस रूप का इस्तेमाल केवल अपनी सुरक्षा आदि के लिए करना। इसका कहीं दुरूपयोग मत करना। चूहे की स्वीकारोक्ति पर संत ने उसे सिंह बना दिया। कुछ दिन तक वह पूर्व की भांति संत के पास आकर उनका आशीर्वाद लिया करता था किन्तु एक दिन उसे अहंकार आ गया और वह आकर संत के सामने दहाड़ने लगा। इससे नाराज संत ने कहा कि तुम पुनः चूहा बन जाओ। कुछ ऐसा ही हाल अभी सप्ताह भर पूर्व तक उत्तर प्रदेश के सूचना निदेशक जैसे महत्वपूर्ण पद की जिम्मेदारी सम्हाले रहे अजय कुमार उपाध्याय का हुआ। उन्हें न केवल इस अति महत्वपूर्ण कुर्सी से हटाया गया, वरन् संशाधन विहीन देवीपाटन मण्डल के अपर आयुक्त की कुर्सी पर भेजा गया। उपाध्याय को देवीपाटन मण्डल का अपर आयुक्त बनाकर गोण्डा भेजे जाने की जानकारी मुझे जैसे ही कल दोपहर को मिली तो मुझे सहसा एक वरिष्ठ आईएएस अधिकारी के एक कविता की दो लाइनें याद आ गईं।

कुंभ में कुछ अखाड़े वाले साधुओं की अकड़ देखकर ऐसा लगता है ‘परामार्थ के कारणें संतन धरा शरीर’ की बात छलावा है। घोड़े पर सवार, काला चश्मा लगाए, हाथ में बंदूक लिए ये अखाड़े के साधु किसी फिल्म के डाकू से कम नहीं लगते हैं और जहां उनके मुंह से वेद मंत्र निकलने चाहिए वहां अपने प्रतिद्धंदी अखाड़े वाले दूसरे साधुओं के लिए गालियां निकलती हैं। हथियारों से लैश ये अखाड़ची साधु पवित्र कुंभ स्थल पर ऐसे फायरिंग करते है जैसे भारत-पाकिस्तान के बीच युद्ध हो रहा हो। और इनकी दंभ भरी फायरिंग में कई बार निर्दोष जनता की जान चली जाती है।

नयी दिल्ली में जल्द ही एक नया राष्ट्रीय प्रेस केंद्र बनाया जायेगा. इस नए प्रेस केंद्र को बनाने के लिए पत्र सूचना कार्यालय (पीआईबी) ने नेशनल बिल्डिंग कंस्ट्रक्शन काॅरपोरेशन लिमिटेड (एनबीसीसी) के साथ एक अनुबंध पर हस्ताक्षर किये हैं।

न्यूज़ में सीरियल या सीरियल में न्यूज चैनल ?ख़बरिया चैनल गिद्ध की तरह ताक लगाए बैठ रहते हैं कि कब किस सीरियल में कोई मोटा बकरा मरे और वो उसे फौरन चट कर जाएं। एक ज़माना था जब खबरिया चैनलों की खबरें एक आम आदमी की जद्दोजहद का थर्मामीटर होती थी। उन चैनलों में देश - विदेश की बड़ी ख़बरों के साथ-साथ कस्बों और गांव की ख़बरों की भी तवज्जो मिलती थी। आजतक जैसे कार्यक्रम के लिए लोग 10 बजे रात का इंतज़ार करते थे। आज आलम ये है कि कोई भी समझदार और संवदेनशील शख्स इन खबरिया चैनलों को दस मिनट भी नहीं झेल सकता। अक्सर लोग चैनलों की हेडलाइन देख लेते हैं और अपनी निगाहें फेर लेते हैं।http://www.mediakhabar.com/topicdetails.aspx?mid=106&tid=2306

रिपोर्टर या कौवा ?संसद के सेंट्रल हॉल में एक वयोवृद्ध सांसद के एक वक्तव्य ने हतप्रभ कर दिया। कुछ लम्हे पूर्व उनको मीडिया की फौज ने महिला आरक्षण बिल पर एक 'बाइट' देने को कहा था। मगर वो जान छुड़ाकर भाग गए। बाहर आकर कहा कि ये मीडिया वाले कौए की तरह अचानक सीधे उड़ते हुए आते हैं और सर पर बीट कर चले जाते हैं। पर कोई बात नहीं कपड़े पर चंद मिनटों के लिए गंदगी दिखती है मगर उसके बाद साफ हो जाती है। http://www.mediakhabar.com/topicdetails.aspx?mid=130&tid=2259

Online content has to be significantly better in quality before Indians will pay for it: Nielsen
Mumbai, Maharashtra -- Nearly nine out of ten Indians believe that free content on the Internet should remain free in the future. However, three fourth of the Indians are willing to pay for the content if the quality is significantly better than what is currently free online, according to a survey conducted by The Nielsen Company.
